The Club is based in the upstairs function room of the Lyceum. For Guest Nights (where we have an invited Guest) and other special occasions.

On Singers Nights
We now have to comply with the no smoking law.

April 24th 2008 Bernard Carney On tour from Australia. Bernard visited us 2 years ago and created such an impression of pure genius with his songs, playing and voice we had to invite him again. As it was said on the night "This guys the real deal".

May 22nd 2008 Theme Night Sing us another one just like the other one do. All you have to do is follow the thread of the previous song. "Easy"  
June 12th 2008 Flossie Malavialle. Flossie is a French singer who got involved in the u.k. folk scene when she was on teacher exchange. Her voice is as clear and tuneful as a lark. She has a gusty guitar style. Here is a sensational performer
July 10th 2008 Battle of the Bands. That ever popular contest of getting three or more performers to start and finish the same song at the same time, and there's prize money for the band voted by the audience 1st & 2nd.  
July 24th 2008 The Tindalls A family group of four. It's really great to see young people performing on the folk scene, especially playing with Mum and Dad; all play and sing in harmony. Their music spans many genres of contemporary as well as traditional folk acoustic music. The Tindalls
September 11th 2008 Barron Brady Yes that's right the duo who appeared out of what seems nowhere, and are going straight to the top in my estimation. Unmissable.
September 25th 2008 Theme Night. Harvest home, that's right it's time to dust off your songs of fruit and veg. Don't forget there's a prize for the best song on theme nights.
October 9th 2008 Collum Sands Once seen never forgotten, this is going to be one of the most entertaining evenings of the year. Be prepared to be amazed. Indescribable.
November 13th 2008 Bram Taylor Always a favourite with the ladies because of his rich gentle voice. He is "a song singer".
November 27th 2008 Theme Night Yes another one, this time it's Social Revolution, yes the folk singers dream, eat your heart out Dylan.
December 18th 2008 The Christmas Party Yes that time of imbibery and feast, carols and Christmas songs to kick off the season of goodwill and over indulgence. Can we do While Shepherds watched their flocks to the tune of Ilkley moor bar tat? you'll have to be there to see!
