Annual Christmas Meal for Members. Another night of jollity and fun at Newport Folk Club!

You will have noticed that the Last Tuesday in 2024 is New Year’s Eve, so I have moved the Sing to the next Tuesday, January 7th. Thereafter it will be business as usual, starting from January 28th.

You are welcome to join our select group for the Last Tuesday Sing, starting at 8.30. The Hall is on the main Caerphilly Road, opposite the Ruperra Inn. There is no bar, so either bring your own drinks, or purchase them from the Ruperra opposite (bring a glass or tankard)

The annual Folk Club AGM has been provisionally booked for January 30th. Start time to be confirmed. As usual, the Committee will stand down at the AGM and a new one selected by show of hands (not the band!). The main Committee roles are:

Chair (currently Bryn Millichip), Treasurer (currenty Cris Bartlett), Secretary (currently Steve Wride) and Booking Agent/s (currently Sue Oates and Mac Perrett). There are also 2 other Committee members, currently Iona Crahart and Mick Pearson. The existing Committee may agree to stand again, but anyone who wishes to be considered for a place should chat with one of the existing team.

The annual Membership Fee will also be agreed at the meeting and will be collected by the Treasurer any time after that.
